Central team to visit Gorakhpur

New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) A high level team of Home Ministry led by Minister of State for Home Shiv Prakash Jaiswal will pay a day long visit to the violence affected Gorakhpur town of Uttar Pradesh tomorrow to assess the situation there.

Mr Jaiswal is going to Gorakhpur on the direction of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Home Minister Shivraj Patil. The minister will visit the curfew bound areas of Gorakhpur and submit a report on the communal situation following a communal tension that started on Friday.

Mr Jaiswal is accompanied by Mr Jagram, Director National Harmony and Rajya Sabha MP Mr Madni and Chowdhary Najmuddin.
