YSR meets officials on PEARL Programme

Hyderabad, Jan 30 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today held discussions with the Municipal Administration and MCH officials on the first conference on networking of Jawarlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) Cities to launch the Peer Experience and Reflective Learning (PEARL) Programme to be held tomorrow here.

Mayors of Urban local bodies in JNNURM Cities, Municipal Commissioners and Chief Executive Officers of ULBs from 63 JNNURM Cities would participate in the conference organised by the Centre and the State Government.

The process of PEARL amongst the networking cities includes identification of the priority areas and potential aspects of knowledge sharing within the cities for a focussed and meaningful development in the long run.

The JNNURM has a network of 63 cities in the country including Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
