The View debut at top of album charts
LONDON, Jan 29 (Reuters) Scottish rock band the View's debut album ''Hats Off To The Buskers'' stormed straight to the top of the British albums chart.
The band from Dundee held off another debut album, the self titled effort from Good, The Bad&The Queen, the latest creation of former Blur frontman Damon Albarn which also features bassist Paul Simonon from the Clash.
Amy Winehouse dropped to third from first place with ''Black to Black'', while singer-songwriter James Morrison was at fourth with ''Undiscovered'', the Official UK Charts Company said.
In the singles chart, Beirut-born Londoner Mika stayed in top spot for the second week with ''Grace Kelly''.
London rapper Just Jack remained at number two with ''Starz In Their Eyes'' while Mason climbed eight places to third with dance track ''Exceeder''.
Teenage US singer JoJo was fourth with ''Too Little Too Late'' while The View's single ''Same Jeans'' was in fifth.
The highest new entry was ''This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race'' by Chicago punk band Fall Out Boy which debuted in sixth.
