The accused trio-father, two sons- remanded to judicial custody

Anand (Gujarat), Jan 29 (UNI) A local court today remanded accused trio -- Father and his two sons -- in judicial custody for ghastly killing a young boy by burning him alive at Parvata village on December 31 last year.

Umreth District Court judge Patel, in his sentence, remanded Kaushik Patel and his two sons, Raju and Amit, to judicial custody for murdering one Anil Rambhai Parmar by setting him on fire on December 31, 2006.

Anil was set on fire by the trio in an attempt to teach him a lesson for damaging the standing crops in their field. Anil, with 80 per cent burn injuries, was rushed to the Sir Sayajirao Gaekwad Hospital at Vadodara, where he died on January three after battling for his life.

After committing the crime, the trio had escaped however was caught by the police and produced before the court today.
