Sub-station Advisory Committees formed in AP

Hyderabad, Jan 29 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today announced the constitution of Sub-station level Advisory Committees to redress the problems relating to power supply.

The committees were constituted on the direction of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, an official release said.

The Committees to be chaired by the legislators of the constituency concerned would meet on Sundays during the period of shortage and once in a month at other times, it added.

Assistant Engineer, Agricultural Extension officer, Mandal Parishad Development officer, Mandal Revenue Officer of the substation concerned would take part in the meeting of the Committees. Two members would be nominated by the District in-charge minister and all elected representatives of the area would be coopted members, it added.
