SREI profit after tax up by 47 p c

Chennai, Jan 29 (UNI) SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd.(SREI) has recorded a 47 per cent increase in Profit After Tax to Rs 47.75 crore for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2006 from Rs 32.48 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year.

The company also posted a 38 per cent increase in Profit After Tax to Rs 17.92 crore during the third quarter ended December 2006 from Rs 12.96 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year, an official release said here today.

SREI, a leading infrastructure equipment, infrastructure projects and renewable energy products financial institution, maintained its trend of improved financial performance during the third quarter under review, the disbursements of new business grew by 78 per cent to Rs 3254 crore from Rs 1,823 crore in the previous nine month period, the release added.
