SP opposes Centre's decision to participate in WTO meet
Bhopal, Jan 29 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Samajwadi Party unit has opposed the Centre's decision to take part in the proposed WTO talks on agriculture-related topics to be organised in Doha.
Describing the decision as anti-farmer, SP National General Secretary and legislator Sunilam told reporters here today that the Centre's decision to participate in the WTO meeting in Doha proved that it had made up its mind to bargain the welfare of peasants under pressure from the US.
He asked Union Commerce Minister Kamal Nath to disclose the new proposals because of which it was decided to take part in the WTO meeting.
