Shriram Group revenue up by 69 p c

Chennai, Jan 29 (UNI) Shriram City Union Finance Limited (SCUF), part of Shriram Group, a leading financial services conglomerate, has increased its revenue by 68.54 per cent for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006, netting Rs 93.22 crore as against Rs 55.31 crore in the corresponding the same period previous year.

The profit before tax increased by 88.56 per cent to Rs 21.27 crore as against Rs 11.28 crore in the same period in the previous year, an official release said here today.

The Profit After Tax also rose by 86.94 per cent to Rs 13.89 crore as against Rs 7.43 crore recorded in the corresponding period in the previous year.

The revenue for the nine months ended December 31, 2006 was up by 58.68 per cent to Rs 236.97 crore as against Rs 149.34 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year.

The profit before tax increased by 63.05 per cent to Rs 55.03 crore against Rs 33.75 crore achieved in the earlier year. The Profit After Tax also rose by 62.90 per cent to Rs 36.23 crore as against Rs 22.24 crore recorded in the earlier year, the release added.
