Road blockade in Mysore against missing idol

Mysore, Jan 29 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time in one of the extensions in the city when an irate mob blocked the road in protest against the missing of a Lord Ganapathi idol at a temple today.

The incident came to light when the priest went to the temple to perform routine pooja.

The protesters, led by BJP Legislator H S Shankaralinge Gowda, put up a road blockade for some time, disrupting traffic. Later, Mr Gowda asked the police to arrest the miscreants responsible for the act.
