'Qutb Minar' in MP

Shajapur, MP, Jan 29 (UNI) A 125-foot-high 'tajia' -- modelled on Delhi's Qutb Minar and built at a cost of Rs 1 lakh -- is the cynosure of all eyes in this district's Shujalpur on the eve of Mohurram, the remembrance marking the anniversary of the Battle of Karbala where Prophet Mohammad's grandson Hussein bin Ali was martyred.

The tajia was made by labouer Taj Khan who claimed that it was Asia's biggest.

''It was completed after three months' toil and I took help from 16 people,'' he added.
