MLA escapes attack on life

Bettiah, Jan 28 (UNI) Former Minister and RJD MLA from Dhanha constituency Rajesh Singh survived an attack on his life tonight.

The attack was engineered by notorious gang of Basudeo and Bangshi Yadav.

Police said the gang opened fire on the MLA at Jhakraha Block area in Gondak Diara of West Champaran district.

Security personnel escorting the leader retaliated but the criminals managed to escape under the cover of darkness, the police added.

Police reinforcements were rushed and combing operation had been launched to nab the criminals.
