Mixed trend observed in Metal prices
Mumbai, Jan 29 (UNI) A mixed trend was observed in Metal prices as the London metal exchange eased today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
In the ferrous section, Aluminium Utencil declined by Rs 100 per quintal due to lack of fresh demand.
In the non-ferrous section, Copper wire bar was fell by Rs 100 per quintal due to sluggish demand while Aluminium Ingot and Lead Ingot rose by Rs 100 each per quintal becaue of lesser of stock supply.
Nickel cathode also eased by Rs 12 per kg due to improved offers by stockists.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 31,200, Copper utensils - Rs 29,500, Brass utensils - Rs 23,200, Brass cuttings - Rs 25,500 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,300.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 34,200, Aluminium ingots -Rs 14,300, Zinc slab - Rs 20,200, Lead ingots - Rs 7,700, Tin slab - Rs 616 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,920 (per kg).
