Mercury soars in MP
Bhopal, Jan 29 (UNI) The mercury was well above average in most parts of Madhya Pradesh due to cessation of northern winds.
However, there was a likelihood of isolated thundershowers over the next 24 hours in all districts, the weatherman said.
Rewa, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Gwalior divisions recorded minimum temperature ranging from 15 to 18 degrees Celsius. Malajkhand in Balaghat district was the coldest at 12 degrees.
''Upper air cyclonic circulation exists over Madhya Pradesh,'' a regional meteorological centre spokesman said.
The state capital witnessed overcast skies and recorded a low at 18.4 degrees, eight notches above normal.
