Kakodkar for science careers

Indore, Jan 29 (UNI) Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Anil Kakodkar today issued a clarion call to the youth to adopt careers in science and make India a technology leader by associating themselves with research and development.

''Indian industry should come forward to facilitate research and development work,'' he said while inaugurating a five-day Asia-level conference at the Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology. Dr Kakodkar also inaugurated an exhibition.

As many as 250 scientists from Asia and 111 from outside this continent are taking part in the event supported by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

Centre Director Vinod Chandra Sahni also spoke on the occasion.

UNI
