heavy fog cripples city life

Kolkata, Jan 29 (UNI) The city experienced a foggy morning for the second consecutive day today.

The city remained enveloped by a thick blanket of fog till noon and normal life was thrown out of gear. Flights were delayed and rail services disrupted.

Met officials has forecast morning fog with a minimum temperature of 16 degree celsius.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 17 degree celsius while the maximum temperature was 30.4 degrees.

Relative humidity in the air was as high as 95 per cent which decreased as the day progressed.

Though the sky remained cloudy, no rainfall was recorded today.
