Friendly fire kills cops
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Jan 29 (UNI) A head constable was killed and two constables injured when two teams of the Andhra Pradesh Police mistakenly opened fire on each other this evening near Chandoor village in Chhattisgarh's naxalism-affected Dantewara district, this state's police said.
Those hurt were rushed to Hyderabad by helicopter. Half of Chandoor is within Andhra Pradesh.
The Greyhound anti-naxal force was camping in the village for about a week. A relieving force was mistaken for rebels, leading to the tragedy.
