Four naxals arrested
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Jan 29 (UNI) Four naxals have been arrested while they were planning an attack at Kodkanar village, 15 km from district headquarters, police said today.
Besides Itwaru, who is suspected to be Janmalasiya commander, Guddu, Jaipal and Dhaniram, who were wanted in connection with several cases, were arrested.
A five-kg live bomb, one detonator and 100 metre wire were seized.
Meanwhile, on a tip-of, police and CRPF personnel cordoned off naxals in Jabeli forests last night. On this, the ultras opened fire but fled after a half-an-hour-long encounter.
Two guns, one tiffin bomb, one grenade, 22 detonators and four naxal uniforms were seized from the spot.
