Madhya Pradesh: 4 held for abusing Hindu deities

Badwani (MP), Jan 29: Four people were arrested last night on the charge of using abusive language against Hindu deities, police said today.

On the basis of complaint by Shiv Sena activist Ravindra, police had arrested Ravi, Kallu, Kapil and a woman Sunny Khan alias Elizabeth for hurting religious sentiments and beating two Shiv Sena activists but were later released on bail.

Two Shiv Sena activists, Kamlesh and Ravindra, were beaten up during a clash yesterday when they had gone to confirm an information that conversion was being carried out in a house where diseases were being healed as per Christian beliefs.

Kamlesh and Ravi protested against use of abusive language for Hindu deities. On this, people present their allegedly beat them up and abused them.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and controlled the situation. Later, Hindu outfits had staged protest in front of police station against the incident.
