DIB Official killed in a road accident

Barrackpore, Jan 28 (UNI) A District Intelligence Branch (DIB) official of North 24-Parganas was killed and his son and daughter were seriously injured in a road accident on the Kalyani Expressway at Ruia under Khardah Police Station near here tonight.

The victims, residents of Titagarh were traveling on a motorcycle to attend a marriage ceremony when a Sodepur bound speedy truck rammed the two-wheeler killing the DIB official Biswanath Das on the spot.

Bibhas Das (25) and Molly Das (20), the son and the daughter of Mr Das, who were pillion riders sustained serious injuries and rushed to R.G.Kar Medical College Hospital, Kolkata, Police sources said.

The Driver along with the truck fled away, sources added.
