Patna, Jan 29 (UNI) The main opposition RJD has alleged that the developmental activities in Bihar has taken a backseat under the present government.

A 'vikas' march, flagged off by RJD supremo Lalu Prasad from Kesriya on December 27, had covered all the prominent historical and religious places under the leadership of the union rural development minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.

The march had drawn a huge crowd at the meetings, where Mr Singh had accused the Nitish Kumar government for 'misleading' the people in the name of development.

He also alleged that despite the tall claims by the present government to make the state a developed and crime free place, nothing has been done in this regard so far.

'' No roads have been constructed, no power projects so far.

Peolpe are still living in hellish condition. Besides, crime rates have also increased,'' Mr Singh said.

Outlining the objectives of the march, Mr Singh also demanded to keep the urn of Lord Buddha in Vaishali, as it was excavated there.

He said the previous RJD government had taken a decision to shift the urn and had issued a related notification in this regard and alleged that the government was 'deliberately' delaying the process.

Meanwhile, the chief minister had stated that shifting of the urn would be unsafe for security reasons and hence has kept it here for the tourists.
