Delhi Master Plan 2021 to be notified by Feb 7

New Delhi, Jan 29 (UNI) The Centre will notify Delhi Master Plan 2021 by February 7, in a bid to settle the problems arising due to sealing of commercial establishments in residential areas of the capital.

Effort was on to notify the master plan by February 7, union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy said today.

And there would be no sealing drive thereafter, he added.

At the moment government was ironing out a few 'contradictions' in it, he said giving the reason for delay in notifying the document from its pre-announced date, January 31.

It was, however, not clear what would be done, between January 31 and the time master plan was notified, in the cases of about three lakh traders who were facing sealing action under Supreme Court orders and were required to file affidavits with it.

The government would also regularise about 1,400 unauthorised colonies in the city by February 10, the minister further said.

A note would be put up before the cabinet for its clearance, he added.
