Chaudhary cannot attend GCMMF board meeting:Deputy Registrar

Anand, Jan 29 (UNI) The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has called a crucial board meeting on February 1 to discuss the suspension issue of the suspended Chairman of Dudhsagar Dairy (Mehsana Dairy) Mr Vipul Chaudhary.

The meeting has been called by the Chairman of GCMMF Parthibhai Bhatol. GCMMF Managing Director B M Vyas is also slated to attend the board meeting.

Mr Chaudhary, who has been disqualified election of chairmanship for four years, was issued the suspension order by Mr G C Murmu, state registrar of co-operatives recently.

Deputy registrar of cooperatives society Mr Anil Patel told UNI today Mr Chaudhary cannot attend the board meeting following his suspension under section 6B of Cooperatives Society Act.

One of the charges against Mr Chaudhary was that he had recruited around 400 people and refused to divulge any information about it though given an opportunity under Section 82 of the act to explain, he said.

When contacted, Mr Chaudhury refused to say if he would attend the meeting. ''I am contacting my lawyer on this and will proceed accordingly,'' he said adding ''I refuse to accept the charges framed against me. I will fight politically and legally my suspension.'' UNI
