Call threatening bomb at Assembly turns hoax
Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 29 (UNI) An anonymous call that said a bomb was planted at the Assembly Complex here today turned out to be hoax.
The call was received at the City Police Control Room at about 1945 hours today, stating that a bomb, planted at the Assembly complex, would go off within half-an-hour, police said.
Following the call, top police officials, bomb and dog squads rushed to the complex and conducted a thorough search.
However, no bombs were recovered so far, police added.
Though none was arrested, police had located the telephone booth at Palayam in the city, from where the call was made.
The search for the bomb is still on, police added.
