Bomb scare in Ashram Express turns out to be hoax
Ahmedabad, Jan 29 (UNI) The Delhi-bound Ashram Express that leaves Ahmedabad at 1745 hrs, left at 2210 hrs instead of its usual departure time due to a bomb scare, which turned out to be a hoax.
The Mehsana Government Railway Police (GRP) had received a call at 1840 hrs informing them about a bomb being planted in the train.
By the time they got the call, the the train had already reached Kodiyar railway station near Gandhinagar. Hence they alerted the Ahmedabad railway control, who despatched a bomb squad there.
After the passengers were made to alight, the train was thoroughly checked by the bomb squad. Nothing was found, PRO Jitendra Kumar Jayant told UNI
