Bail granted to former Trinamool Cong MLA

Kolkata, Jan 29 (UNI) A local court today granted interim bail to former Trinamool Congress MLA Sanjay Bakshi till February 27.

The party's youth wing's all India secretary was arrested on January 24 on the basis of a complaint lodged by a woman.

Bakshi was asked by district sessions judge Bandana Roy to appear before the court on February 27.

The court had given the verdict against the bail petition moved by counsel Moloy Ghosh challenging an earlier order to keep Bakshi in judicial custody till February 8.
