XIMB to host AIB-International Conference

Bhubaneswar, Jan 28 (UNI) Scholars from around 70 universities and institutes across the globe will attend a three-day AIB-India International Conference, to be held at the Xavier Institute of Management here from tomorrow.

The conference on ''India in the emerging Global Order'' will deliberate on how India's engagement in the rapid globalisation process has brought transformation on several entities, aspects of India such as enterprises, industries, science, technology, tradition and culture, history and global institutions.

XIMB sources said in addition to presentations and discussions of over 80 research papers in various business sessions, there will be 4 Plenary Sessions covering Globabalisation and poverty, Globalisation and Regional Imbalance, Globalisation of Education&Special Economic Zones.

Apart from professors of the IIMs, IITs and other leading institutes of India, international luminaries from eight countries such as USA, UK, Austria, Australia, Sweden, Poland, China and the Netherlands would also be taking part in it.

A number of executives from companies like SBI, POSCO, RBI, NALCO, MCL, OMC, Tata Steel, OPGC, Hewlett packard, J K Corporation, AES India, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and officials from the Government, faculty and students from various institutions, NGOs, social activists would attend the conference.
