TDP launches membership campaign

Hyderabad, Jan 28 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today launched a membership campaign to prepare itself for the next general elections.

Party Chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrbabu Naidu formally launched the campaign at his residence today.

Later, talking to newpersons, Mr Naidu said the campaign would continue till February 11.

He said the oppressed and weaker sections would be given membership in the party.

The campaign would be held at 23,000 villages.

Mr Naidu said his party would launch a programme called 'Sankharavam' on February five to protect against the policies of the Congress government.
