Rains likely in NE states, Punjab, TN

Pune, Jan 28 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at mainly dry weather will prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.

Heavy rains have occurred at a few places in Tamil Nadu.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Lakshadweep and isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at mainly dry weather prevailed over the Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and of Karnataka and were above normal in Konkan and Goa and in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and of Kerala and in remaining parts of Rajasthan and of Marathwada.

They were normal over the rest of the country outside Jammu and Kashmir from where the data was sparse.
