Puducherry: 'Maha Kumbabishegam' on January 31

Puducherry, Jan 28: The 'Maha Kumbabishegam' at the Panchamukha Anjaneyar temple at Panchavadi in Villuppuram district of Tamil Nadu would be held on January 31.

Talking to newspersons at the temple premises yesterday, managing trustee Ramani Anna said about one lakh devotees were expected to throng the temple on the day and all arrangements were being made to provide food.

Mr Anna, who narrated in detail how he managed to construct the temple at Panchavadi, said 45 Veda pandits would take part in the Kumababishegam for which special bus facilities would be arranged from Tindivanam and Puducherry.

The total expenditure had been approximately put at Rs 60 lakh.

A 110-feet 'gopuram' was constructed at the temple with a 36-feet Panchamukha Anjaneyar as the presiding deity.
