Prisoner assaults warden

Puducherry, Jan 28 (UNI) A lifer in a murder case allegedly assaulted a warden at the Central Prison yesterday.

According to police, Bhaskaran of Attuppatty had a quarrel inside the prison with inmates and Warden Palani who questioned this was hit on the chest.

When Palani fell down Bhaskaran reportedly spat on his face.

Palani who was treated at the government general hospital today preferred a complaint with the Grand Bazaar Police following which cases under Section 294 and 332 IPC were registered against Bhaskaran.
