NUBC demands more seats in LC
Hyderabad, Jan 28 (UNI) National Union for Backward Classes (NUBC) President D P Yadav today demanded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to allot more Legislative Council seats to the BCs.
Talking to newspersons here he said the NUBC urged Dr Reddy to ensure BC's nomination in proportion to its population.
Alleging that the State Government had failed to provide sufficient funds for the welfare of BCs, Mr Yadav warned that the NUBC would launch a movement against the Government, if it failed to allocate more funds in the next budget.
Demanding that the Government also implement the Mandal Commission recommendations, he said the officials of the Welfare Department should be selected from the BC community and social justice rendered to the beneficiaries.
