MBD Group to set up luxury hotel in Bangalore

New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) The MBD Group today said it will launch MBD Zephyr, a mixed-use lifestyle destination entailing luxury hotel, luxury retail and premium retail and entertainment in Bangalore.

Located in the heart of Whitefield (Bangalore), this magnificent two million square feet development is spread over 8 acres, having a huge frontage of 580 feet and strategically located within 9 km from the current Airport and 20 km from the new international airport, connected through the six-lane expressway.

The first component of MBD Zephyr, a luxury hotel which will be in the likes of Regent, Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons, shall be owned and managed by the MBD Group.

''MBD Zephyr is the first of its kind mixed use development in India which will interpret the concept of luxury in three defined categories: luxury hotel, luxury retail, premium retail and entertainment,'' MBD Group Chairman and Managing Director Ashok Kumar Malhotra said.

He did not mention the investment details for the project.

The Luxury retail area would target brands like Gucci, Versace, Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton to name a few.

While, the premium retail area would target brands like Debenhams, Zara, Mango, Marks&Spencers and Body Shop.

Bangalore is the third in the MBD Group's portfolio of mixed-use development in the country.

While the upcoming MBD Neopolis in Ludhiana and Jalandhar targets the premium segment, MBD Zephyr, is aimed at the luxury end of the market.

The Group is enriched by a diversified portfolio of publishing, hospitality, real estate, mall development and management.
