Man charred to death

Puducherry, Jan 28 (UNI) A 55-year-old man was charred to death last night when his thatched house caught fire.

According to police here, Veerasamy of Thirukkanur near here was living alone.

He went to bed last night in an inebriated condition and could not come out of his house when fire engulfed it.

It is suspected that fire from an earthen lamp lit by him caused the fire.
