JKLF to oppose territorial disintegration of J
Jammu, Jan 28 (UNI) The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) today said it would oppose any solution to Kashmir issue which leads to disintegration of the state.
Talking to UNI from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) Amanullah Khan, the supreme head of the JKLF said, ''We oppose the proposals which are doing rounds for disintegration of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.'' ''The division of the state by any means, is no answer to the problems here. JKLF would resist with full force any attempt by India or Pakistan to disintegrate the state,'' he said adding that pre-independence territorial status should be maintained.
The JKLF leader said the best equitable and honourable solution of the issue would be to reunite the divided Jammu and Kashmir state.
It should emerge as a fully independent state with federal democratic and secular system of government having friendly relations with both New Delhi and Islamabad, Mr Khan said suggesting that there could be a a free referendum after 15 years where people of the state would decide whether they want to join India or Pakistan or stay the way they are.
