Internal squabbles in BJP will lead to govt's fall: Dharam
Gulbarga, Jan 28 (UNI) Former Chief Minister and the Leader of the Opposition N Dharam Singh today said the internal squabbles within the BJP would lead to the fall of the one-year-old JD(S)-BJP coalition government in Karnataka.
Addressing a press meet here, he said that the BJP General Secretary Ananth Kumar's faction was creating hurdles for Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa who, under the understanding between the coalition partners, had to take over as Chief Minister from Mr Kumaraswamy after completion of 20 months. This would lead to the fall of the government, he said.
Criticising the coalition government for ineptness in containing the communal voilence in Bangalore last week, he said the government faulted in permitting the Hindu fundamental forces to carryout a huge rally despite the situation being tense.
''The violance took place in Shivajinagar, the constituency of BJP Minister Katta Subramanyam Naidu. I suspect the BJP's hand in the communal violance,'' he alleged.
