Indian introduces spot fare in Port Blair sector

Port Blair, Jan 28 (UNI) The Indian, formerly known as ''Indian Airlines'' has introduced 'spot fare' from Port Blair to Kolkata and Port Blair to Chennai, as part of the commemoration on the Republic Day by the national carrier, officials said today.

''The ''spot fare'' effective from the Republic Day will be available for sale six hours prior to scheduled departure of the flight and subject to availability of the seats,'' Indian Area Marketing Manager in Port Blair Siddartha Roy told mediapersons.

He said that similar spot fare also exists in Kolkata-Port Blair sector also.

''The spot fare from Port Blair to Kolkata will be Rs 4855 while for Port Blair-Chennai will be Rs 3625,'' he said.
