Bullion trader robbed and murdered at Mehsana

Palanpur, Jan 28 (UNI) The body of a young bullion merchant who was murdered and looted of his valuables worth Rs 30 lakh, was today recovered from a field near Roopal village on Vijapur road, about 10 kms from Mehsana.

Ahmedabad-based Amishbhai Revabhai Patel (31) used to come to Mehsana for selling ornaments. He had come to Mehsana yesterday for the same purpose and was slated to return home in the evening.

However, when he did not return till 2230 hrs his family panicked, especially since he could not be reached even on his mobile phone. They contacted one of their relatives in Mehsana, Mr Chandubhai Patel, but to no avail. Finally, they approached the police.
