BPCL AGM escapes, reaches home
Bokaro, Jan 28 (UNI) Additional General Manager of Bokaro Power Supply Company Limited ''escaped'' and reached home today after nearly two weeks in captivity.
Mr Swapnendu Mukherjee, who went missing on January 17 while driving from Bokaro to Dhanbad reached his home here early this morning, family sources said, adding that he had somehow managed to escape from the clutches of the abductors.
However, they refused to make any comment on if any ransom was paid for the release.
''He is very tired and is disturbed so he doesn't want to talk to any one now,'' the family members informed the reporters.
Superintendent of Police Maninder Singh Bhatia claimed that the abductors must have freed Mr Mukherjee due to the intense raids carried out by the police in and around the district.
He had spoken to his family last just before reaching Dhanbad and sounded ''terrified'' then, his family sources had maintained.
