BJP wants Telangana Bill in Budget Session
Vijayawada, Jan 28: Senior BJP Leader M Venkaiah Naidu today demanded the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA)Government to introduce a Bill in the ensuing Budget Session of Parliament on carving out a separate Telangana state.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Naidu said if Andhra Pradesh was divided into two, the Telangana and Andhra Regions could be optimally developed.
Though the BJP passed a resolution on the issue, the division of the state could not materialise till now, he said adding the Centre and state governments had failed in taking appropriate decision.
Mr Naidu said if there was procrastination on the issue by the political parties, uncertainity would crop up in people's minds.
He said if Telangana issue was delayed further, entrepreneurs will face problems in setting up industries in these two regions.
