Atal-Advani to campaign in Punjab

Jalandhar, Jan 28 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani, BJP president Rajnath Singh and several party leaders will tour Punjab to campaign for BJP-SAD candidates for the February 13 assembly elections.

While Mr Vajpayee will visit Punjab on February 10, Mr Advani would tour for three days on February 4, 7 and 11, a party spokesman told UNI today.

He said party leadership was considering to organise Mr Vajpayee's rally in Ludhiana on February 10 whereas the detailed programme for Mr Advani's visits was also being worked out.

Meanwhile, BJP president Rajnath Singh would also undertake election tours to the state on February 5 and 7, the spokesman said.

Several other leaders including Mr Murli Manohar Joshi, Ms Sushma Swaraj and some Bollywood personalities were also scheduled to campaign for the party in the state, the spokesman added.
