ULFA 'lance corporal' killed in encounter

Guwahati, Jan 27 (UNI) An ULFA militant was killed in an encounter with the Army in Kakopathar of Dibrugarh district of Asom today.

Army sources informed that 'lance corporal' Binod Ghatiyal was killed in an encounter with 7/11 Gorkha Regiment.

The encounter took place at Hahkhati, Dirak in Kakopathar at about 1100 hrs.

Details were awaited.
