Thackeray, Modi to address joint rally at Shivaji Park tomorrow
Mumbai, Jan 27 (UNI) With the crucial elections to ten municipal corporations, including Mumbai, approaching nearer, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting at Shivaji Park tomorrow to seek support for the saffron alliance candidates.
The rally will begin at 1700 hrs. Shiv Sena spokesperson Neelam Gorhe said the meeting will be attended by Shiv Sena-BJP leaders and workers from Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, Pune and Raigad as it is the last and decisive political rally ahead of the crucial polls.
Shiv Sena-BJP is making a determined bid to retain its bastions at Mumbai and Thane despite suffering setbacks like the exit of Narayan Rane and Raj Thackeray from the party.
Mumbai Traffic police have made elaborate arrangements to prevent traffic chaos as well as parking of vehicles in view of the rally in the Dadar area of central Mumbai.
Traffic will be diverted and regulated in the vicinity of Shivaji Park to prevent congestion.
