Sugar prices recovers on better buying support
Mumbai, Jan 27 (UNI) Sugar prices recovered on better buying support, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said today.
Sugar in small and medium grades rose by Rs 13 and Rs two percent quintal respectively on increase of fresh demand.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades went up by Rs five and Rs seven per quintal respectively on lesser stock supply.
Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,503/1,545, Medium grade: Rs 1,540/1,643, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,480/1,500, Medium grade: Rs 1,500/1,530.
