Silver rises, gold falls

Mumbai, Jan 27: Spot silver rose today while gold fell in the closing session of trading, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following were the closing rates of silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 19,975 (19,950), Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,290 (9,315), Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 9,340 (9,365).
