Seven policemen awarded police medal for gallantry on Republic Day

New Delhi, Jan 27 (UNI) Delhi Police personnel were awarded Police Medal for Gallantry on the occasion of Republic Day.

Among the policemen awarded are ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Inspector Badrish Dutt, Inspector Prithvi Singh, Sub-Inspector Sukhbir Singh Malik, HC Surender Kumar, HC Rajbir and HC Rishi Raj.

Inspector Prithvi Singh, Sub-Inspector Sukhbir Singh Malik, Constable Rajbir and HC Rishi Raj have been awarded for their gallant act of averting a grave tragedy by nabbing a heavily armed criminal at Vijay Vihar.

Head Constable Surender Kumar has been awarded the President's medal for nabbing a dreaded interstate gangster Sandeep Deswal, wanted in the murder of two Haryana Police Head Constables.
