Naxalites agitation against land acquisition at Singur

Kolkata, Jan 27 (UNI) Over 300 Naxalite activists were today arrested on way to Singur for violating prohibitory orders of Section 144 Cr PC, police said.

The Naxalites under CPI (ML) leader Kartick Pal were arrested at Kamarkundu Railway Station in Hooghly district.

Executive Magistrate Suman Ghosh said all the arrested activists were later released.

Mr Pal said the activists would carry on the movement against the state government's land acquisition programme at Singur.
