Major tragedy averted, live grenade found in JK

Srinagar, Jan 27: Security forces averted a major tragedy when they found a live grenade on a bridge in Uri in north Kashmir today, official sources said.

They said a Road Opening Party (ROP) during routine patrolling noticed a live hand grenade on a Kamalkote bridge in Sultandeki area of Uri sector this morning.

However, the grenade was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) without causing any damage.
