Broadcast tech to be displayed at BES EXPO 2007

New Delhi, Jan 27: An international conference-cum-exhibition on terrestrial and satellite broadcasting, in which leading broadcast technologies will be on display, opens here on February one.

To be inaugurated by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, the event is organised by the Broadcast Engineering Society(BES) of India in the capital every year.

Over 60 leading broadcast equipment manufacturers and media firms like Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Thomson Canon and Nokia are exhibiting their products this year.

Mr. David Ashley and Dr. Yasubiro Ito, international experts in the field of broadcasting are among the speakers at the Conference.

Titled BES EXPO 2007, the theme of the exhibition is Multi-faceted Broadcasting - Present&Future. This is the 13th EXPO in succession.

Broadcast Engineering Society is one of the premier bodies in the country in the field of broadcast engineering. It was established in 1987 with the objectives of promoting and encouraging education, research and training in the field and related sciences, and project the interests of the sector at national and international fora.

The society has membership of about 2000 broadcast engineers. 37 firms are also on its roll as Corporate Members.
