JD(U) to campaign for SAD nominees in Punjab

Jalandhar, Jan 27 (UNI) Punjab Janata Dal(United) will campaign in favour of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) nominees for the February 13 Assembly elections in the state.

JD(U) state general secretary Om Prakash Khemkarni said the party had already started campaigning for SAD nominees in the state.

Mr Khemkarni said a party delegation had recently met SAD chief Parkash Singh Badal who had lauded the long and time tested political ties between SAD and JD (U).

He said party national president and former Union Minister Sharad Yadav will also visit Ludhiana on January 30 to address an SAD election rally.
