INLD to carry on struggle on SYL issue: Chautala

Hisar, Jan 27 (UNI) Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo Om Prakash Chautala today said his party would carry on the struggle for completion of the Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal so that Haryana got its due share of Ravi-Beas waters.

''Haryana has a right on Ravi-Beas waters and the INLD will continue its struggle for the SYL canal,'' Mr Chautala said while talking to reporters here.

To a question, the INLD chief said he was campaigning for the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in the Punjab assembly elections so as to help SAD supremo Parkash Singh Badal become the Chief Minister.

When his attention was drawn to SAD secretary general Sukhbir Badal's remark that Punjab had the sole right on Ravi-Beas waters, Mr Chautala quipped: ''They have their own politics. I have my own politics.'' UNI
